MindProof

Interrogation game. Questions until the story breaks.

Pierce the Lie

Someone across the table is protecting a story. It comes in with a name, an hour, and a reason you are supposed to believe it. They will lie. They will hit back. They can come apart. Every reply they give costs one mindforce. Fewer replies, and sharper ones, raise the rating. The rating is not how the case ends.

Morning Drill

Six morning drills, and none of them spends mindforce. Each one is timed and keeps its own leaderboard. They train the hand. They are not a case. Among them, you mark the sentence where the testimony and the evidence do not match, and you build a question from words the file already has. A guest can finish a drill and share it. Registering grants 40 reserve mindforce. A first clear is written on the board only when you are signed in.

The Board

The cases are waiting before you sit down. Pick one, and the questioning can start. Official cases run from easy to legendary. Community cases sit on the same board. The list sorts from easy toward hard. A card gives you the person, the charge, and the difficulty.

One Investigator

Each case, you bring one investigator into the room. Coax, force, or the file. The soft one offers the doughnut. The hard one hits the table. The one who works from memory pins a sentence to the file. The other two stay out of that case. Opening the root costs two skill points. Skill points are not mindforce. Ranking up grants skill points. A later tactic stays shut until you own the one it requires, and you pay skill points for it. You still write the question.

Already Spoken

They have spoken before you ask. What they say stays, and a later question can come back to it. Pressure, Trust, and Story move with the conversation. They affect the attitude in the room. They do not close the case themselves. A case closes when the testimony reaches its last step and the clues cover what had to be said. Mindforce is held in two pools, today's and the reserve. Today's is spent first. Every reply costs one mindforce. A line offered under the box is a suggestion. The question is yours to write.
